Exports from REPS trackers
REP Helper recognizes the export files of popular REPS trackers and maps their columns automatically, including the classification of each entry where the file has one.
Any hour format
Decimal hours, hours and minutes in separate columns, or “HH:MM” durations all convert to the same hours.
CSV and Excel
Upload a CSV or an Excel workbook and choose the sheet that holds your hours.
Google Sheets
Paste a sharing link and import the tab that holds your log.
AI column mapping
For a spreadsheet REP Helper hasn’t seen before, AI suggests which column is the date, duration, description, property and category. You confirm the mapping.
Properties come along
Property names in your file become properties in REP Helper, with duplicates merged, so every hour lands on the right rental.
Moving takesminutes.
It happens while you set up your account.
- 1
Export from your current tracker
Download your entries as a CSV from the tracker you use today, or open the spreadsheet you’ve been keeping.
- 2
Upload the file or paste the link
Drop in the CSV or Excel file, or paste a Google Sheets link. Most dates and durations are read as they are.
- 3
Check the mapping
Known tracker exports map automatically. Otherwise, review the suggested mapping and change any column.
- 4
See where you stand
Your imported hours count toward every test right away, so you see your 750-hour, 50% and material participation status from day one.
Why your historymatters.
The IRS tests are annual. If you switch tools in June, the hours you logged from January to May still count toward this year’s 750-hour test, 50% test and material participation, but only if they end up in the same record as the rest of the year.
Records made at the time of the work carry the most weight. An import keeps each entry’s original date, property and description, so the records you made then stay what they were. From the day you switch, log new work as it happens.
