Yes. Enter the hours you work outside real estate, such as a W-2 job, and REP Helper compares them with your real estate hours all year, so you know whether more than half of your working time is in real estate. It also tracks the 750-hour test, material participation per property and the grouping election. Included in Professional and Elite.

They can. Hours from a real estate job count toward the REPS tests when you are a 1099 contractor, an owner, partner or member, or a W-2 employee who owns more than 5% of the employer (IRC §469(c)(7)(D)(ii)). REP Helper lets you enter that work and applies the 5% rule for you: other W-2 real estate hours count only in the 50% test total. Confirm your situation with your CPA.
